NHADACA implements its mission and strategic plan though its substance use workforce programs. NHADACA realizes its vision of meeting the substance use needs of NH communities though a growing and vibrant workforce by providing quality education, credentialing expertise, and activities that enhance health and wellbeing of substance use service providers. NHADACA educates the substance use workforce in furthering professional growth, knowledge and skills. As an essential workforce development organization committed to advancing substance use professionals, we champion informed policies and evidence-based practices vital to prevention, treatment and recovery services. NHADACA models personal and professional accountability and provides tools to support ethical decision making. We do all this to inspire, guide and mentor substance use professionals.
The CWN is a behavioral health support program established to address the health and wellbeing of clinicians to ensure quality care for individuals with substance use disorders. The CWN provides agency support, peer collaboration, special events, and podcasts. The program seeks to enhance clinician compassion satisfaction, build confidence, connection, and community among providers, create resilience, and ultimately support workforce retention.
The CSP partners with various NH substance use organizations that are providing substance use and co-occurring disorders services, in order to support and ease burdens of the onsite clinical supervisor to advance licensure of clinicians. The CSP offers support by answering engagement questions, providing supervision hours, hosting IC&RC exam preparation assistance.
NHTIAD is a comprehensive training program that provides scholarships, on-demand webinars, learning modules, virtual and in-person training events and a professional development calendar in support of the substance use continuum of care. Our webinar library has over 50 on-demand titles distinguished by prevention, treatment, recovery and other convenient categories. NHTIAD's annual calendar of over 100 trainings includes both virtual and in-person events.
NHADACA facilitates education and training scholarships for substance use professionals. Scholarships include Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services (BDAS) and Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) contract-funded scholarships. Additionally, NHADACA provides over 18 donor and grant-supported scholarships annually.
