This training will take place at 45 High Street, Nashua, NH.
PRESENTATION:
Days 1-2 will cover the Matrix Model for Adults
Day 3 will cover Individuals in the Justice System
Day 4 is for Key Supervisors only.
This training will provide attendees information needed to understand the components of the Matrix Program and recommendations for implementation. We will discuss how to adapt the model to specific programs needs and requirements. Mock groups, videos and more depth instruction will also help attendees prepare for use of the Matrix Model of Treatment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask specific questions of typical program challenges and clarify any of the program components. The training is very interactive with experiential exercises to help develop skills of the program. Promotes attendee discussions.
The Matrix Model is the only manualized multi-modality evidence-based program in the world. It's a manualized intensive outpatient program (IOP) that any treatment center can implement upon having the training. It includes built in outcome measures and fidelity tools to determine if a program is meeting Matrix Model Standards. It can be used in all levels of care and in a continuum of care
Training Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the model and what is needed for implementation
- Utilize the various components in group and individual and family sessions
- Explain how to use the fidelity tools and how to overcome typical challenges
- Ensure good understanding of the basic Matrix principals
- Practice mock groups in each of the components
- Review and understand sample client handouts
- Utilizing Key Supervisors as Coaches in fidelity and implementation

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Donna is the Director of Training for Clare Matrix in Santa Monica, Ca. She has provided Matrix trainings for 20 years. Donna has expertise with international trainings and has worked in Dubai, UAE Abu Dhabi, UAE, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Thailand, United Kingdom and many others. She has numerous magazine articles and has been featured on CBS Atlanta, PBS, CNN and Fox News on various addiction related issues. Donna is the co-author of the Matrix Model for Criminal Justice and is a featured Criminal Justice columnist for Counselor Magazine. She provides consulting and training to numerous state addiction authorities, hospitals, agencies, Fortune 500 companies and many criminal justice programs. She offers virtual and on-site trainings on the Matrix Model and other various topics. She has been a keynote speaker and speaker for numerous state and national conferences including the National Association for Drug Court Professionals Conference and the National Conference on Addictive Disorders and the United Kingdom and European Symposium on Addictive Disorders.
