NHADACA facilitates several Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services (BDAS) scholarships as well as its own scholarship opportunities.
NHADACA provides two member scholarships to regional/national conferences in addition to
Train It Forward Scholarships and Clinician Scholarships to our NH Training Institute on Addictive Disorders events.
Train It Forward Scholarship
NHADACA’s goal is to offer affordable professional development and training opportunities; however, sometimes hardships leave substance use professionals making tough financial choices – and signing up for a training can feel like a luxury one cannot afford. Although we keep our training rates low, scholarships can truly make a difference. Our unique Train It Forward scholarship program provides the option of attending any NH Training Institute on Addictive Disorders event through generous donations. Donations can be made on our Donations Page.
Scholarships will be awarded through an application process and as funds are available. Persons who receive a scholarship would not be eligible again for a minimum of 6-12 months.
Due to a generous donation from the Bank of NH and Dobles Foundation, scholarships are available for counselors seeking additional information about working with clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Scholarships may be applied to NHADACA events and trainings for as long as funds are available. Eligibility criteria: applicant must be working toward MLADC credential. Priority will be given to LICSW/LCMHC/LMFT applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and have not received a NHADACA scholarship within the past year. For consideration, please submit completed application to the contact information on the form.
Annual NAADAC Conference Scholarship
Receive airfare, lodging and registration to the Annual NAADAC Conference. This conference is held in a different state each year. Eligibility requirements: current NHADACA member (current LADC/MLADC licensure is not required). Representatives on NHADACA Board of Directors within the past 5 years are not eligible. In 2020 the conference will be held in Washington, DC; this national conference occurs in a different state each year. The scholarship includes registration and travel expenses (such as airfare, standard baggage fees, lodging, mileage, tolls and parking). Scholarship does not include food/meals. Acceptance of this scholarship includes agreement to attend a portion of the NAADAC Board Meeting and to speak about the overall conference experience at the NHADACA 2020 Annual Meeting. Applicant must submit a completed application form by the application deadline. Scholarship recipients are chosen by the NHADACA Board. Award recipient will be notified via email.
State Opioid Response Scholarship
State Opioid Response (SOR) registration scholarships are awarded based on need and availability. Receiving this scholarship does not preclude you from receiving any other available scholarships. You may apply to attend multiple trainings funded by the State Opioid Response Grant. You will be notified by email if you are awarded a scholarship, approximately 10 business days prior to the event for which you are applying, whenever possible. Scholarships cannot be transferred to another individual and can only be applied as awarded and for the trainings as approved. All qualifying trainings are indicated online within the individual event details.
Scholarship applications should be faxed or emailed to NHADACA at: (603) 589-1191 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
