A 18 hour training event with Michael Gaudet, LICSW, LDCP 

8:30am – 4:00pm (daily) on April 27 & 29 and May 1, 2020

PRESENTATION: This 3–day presentation will focus on individualizing treatment using ASAM criteria to assist in determining appropriate level of care.  Counseling theories will be reviewed along with related techniques.  It will address customizing treatment to specific populations and incorporating treatment goals in the clients own words.  Medication assisted treatment will be discussed along working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.  The training concludes with a review the process of continued care planning, care management and referral.  Community resources, consultation and clinician self-care will be topics of discussion.  As a result of attending this training, participants will:

• Be able to describe the components and tools involved in tailoring treatment  specific to client needs
• State at least 2 specific treatment needs of identified populations
• Describe the concept of continued care planning when considering referrals
